Acrolac has been the place where we could do even less tasks than in Villeneuve ;)  Again the organizers tried to get 2 disciplines and a minimum of 3 tasks per discipline done within 3 days !  That means that every day had to be perfectly flyable - nearly impossible in this season of unstable weather conditions. So it came that at the end we had...

Vertigo 2005, Villeneuve/Switzerland
Written by Bernd Hornböck

To tell it right in the beginning: the weather of this year's RedBull Vertigo was really shit and even worse than last year !  Nobody can do anything about this and that's life...  On the other hand the time schedule was really tight for 3 disciplines (Solo-PG, Synchro-PG, Hanggliding) and a minimum of 3 tasks per discipline. On wednesday the jury decided to run 2 qualification runs for the Solo pilots but not a single competition task, even if the weather was perfect. On the synchro pilot's first task...

Again, Omegna at Lago di Orta was worth the visit and we had a nice competition during the weekend: Acroaria 2005. The weather in this season is not very stable but anyway we managed to get 4 tasks synchro and 3 tasks solo done until sunday afternoon. After a few discussions but a lot of fun we ended up on the 3rd position, same as last year
Thanks to Luigi and all the other people that helped making this event a success again !

Korea was a quite new spot for most of the acro pilots. Thanks to the organizer it was possible to help the pilots finance their airline tickets for the flight to Seoul/Korea to participate in Asias first aerobatic competition: Acrobeach. After all the pilots had arrived at the airport we had a 5h travel with a very comfortable bus to our home, 40 minutes away from the competition area at Gangneung Beach. During the following 4 days...

Hi everybody !  Bernd and Alex received their new wings about a month ago. Bernd is flying the 85% scaled version of the Cidan and Alex' wing is 87%. That means that the new gliders are a little bit smaller because in summertime they don't have so much wing loading as in wintertime. The 19 sqm and the 20 sqm Cidans are very fast. You can feel the power in every manouver you perform - awesome
Team against the grain also thougt about a new team colour for the season 2005 - have a look at the picture. The mirrow spiral looks very nice because the colours are changing all the time....
